I always feel the need to start review by asking question. Don’t now why, but everything in my head starts with a question. Why do I need serum in my skin care routine? Yes!! this is what I thought about.
Basically serum is a light weight, easy absorbing base with the intent of delivering powerful ingredients deep into the skin. It acts just like a primer before you start your makeup. There are so many options when it comes to serum that it is overwhelming. Anti aging, radiance, moisturizing to cell repair there is zillion options to choose from. With winter on my mind my instant pick was Vichy Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydration Serum.
Vichy Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydration Serum promises 48-hour hydration. Beyond replenishing water loss, the reinvented Power Serum evenly distributes water to balance dry skin, target dry patches, and plump dehydration lines.
All these claims might not be true. I have normal T zone with dry skin during winter. With the regular use of products for acne my skin is dry and peels if I don’t moisturize. Vichy Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydration Serum has certainly provided hydration and has helped other moisturizer layered on top to absorb faster. Like any other serum it is light weight, easy absorbing, non sticky formula. However, I did not experience 48 hours of hydration.
Oil-free. Non-comedogenic. Non-acnegenic. Allergy-tested. Suitable for sensitive skin. Tested under dermatological control.

Vichy Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydration Serum provides hydration and nothing more. Vichy does not claim anything apart from hydration and the product does what it claims. However, I expect serum to do more than just moisturize as I like to layer moisturizer over serum. I personally don’t feel the need to use two skin care products that are going to do the same thing. Using 2 pumps in a single use made the product last less than a month. It’s definitely expensive for the amount of product you end up using in a single go.
I love Vichy skin care products, but this has failed to impress me and I would not repurchase it again.
