A few months ago, I used to find myself gravitating towards any product that claimed to have tea tree oil. I saw my friend using The Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimiser and could not resist buying one immediately after. I have been using it on and off for more than four months now, here is what I think.
Our new Tea Tree Pore Minimiser makes pores look smaller. Infused with Community Fair Trade organic tea tree oil, it smoothes, primes and mattifies, and leaves skin feeling fresh and pure.
• Minimises the appearance of pores
• Matifies for a shine-free finish
• Leaves skin feeling fresh and pure
• Ideal base for make-up
How to use:
Smooth over face after moisturiser and before applying make-up. Avoid contact with eyes.
Price: INR 1495/ 30ml
My taken on the product:
The Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimiser comes in a small green plastic squeezy tube, which is nothing fancy, but is perfect for the consistency of the product. The pore minimiser is light weight serum in texture which makes it easier to apply on the skin. Because of the texture it does not build up on the skin if you plan to followup with makeup on the top.
The basic concept of TBS Tea Tree Pore Minimiser is to blur enlarged pores being suitable for blemished skin type hence addition of tea tree oil. Such oil is used in skin care products because it kills bacteria and fungus, and reduce allergic skin reactions. Personally I did notice pore being minimised and fading of redness after application. The effect does not last for long, it just acts as a temporary fix. There is no visible long team benefits on regular application which makes me less prone to reach out for this product. To add up to all the cons the serum separates from the oil which makes it important to shake well before use. I noticed that the product started separating immediately after using it for few days. Having said that this does not mean that is no longer usable.
The pore minimizer acts as a good base under any foundation or BB cream. It keeps my face oil free for longer duration as compared to using a oil free foundation independently on the skin.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimiser does good job of priming. However, for the cost I would like to have additional benefit specially when it claims to reduce pores and fine lines. Definalty thumbs down for me. I am struggling to finish 30ml tube, once done will not be purchasing a new tube.
