Every single time Body Shop has sale online, I can’t hold myself from sneaking on to the website. The last time I was looking for a Vitamin C moisturizer. Sadly, I could not find that any where on the site and ended up getting Oils Of Life Intensely Revitalizing Gel Cream. Did I make the right choice, certainly not.
Oils Of Life Intensely Revitalizing Gel Cream is infused by 3 precious seed oils. Black Cumin seed oil from Egypt, Camellia seed oil from China and Rosehip seed oil from Chile. These ingredients are suppose to make the skin feel fresh, hydrated and energized. The non-greasy, light weight formula gets absorbed into to the skin within seconds. All I need is a pie size product to cover my entire face. Body Shop recommends paring it up with Intensely Revitalizing Facial Oil, which obviously I did not use. Independently the gel did hydrate my skin, but for a short period. I could not see any change in my skin with the regular use. It is difficult to complain as the product does not claim to treat or improve any skin condition.
For the price tag (INR 2095/50ml) I expect a lot from my moisturizer and not just hydration for a short period of time. I must admit that the tinted glass bottle makes me feel like I am high maintenance. But, it’s the product I want to value more then the packaging.
The Body Shop Oils Of Life Intensely Revitalizing Gel Cream is an expensive moisturizer which does nothing more than that. I would rather spend a bit more and buy Clinique moisturizer, which is my holy grail product of all times. I would not recommend it.
