The Body Shop Body Sorbet Review

Bodyshop_sorbet

How often do you buy sometime just because of the fragrance. Yes, I know you can correlate to the situation here. Fragrance in combination with the brand you love equals to temptation.

On my way to Mangalore in the month of August, I realized that I forgot to carry my moisturizer. It was not end of the world, but few basic things that you use every day becomes necessity while traveling. Thankfully I found The Body Shop store at the airport. I don’t think I have to mention what exactly did I buy at the store.

After using the product for almost three months now, I realized that it is time to review the body sorbet in Moringa and Satsuma.

Product Description:

My take on the product:

The body sorbet comes in frosty plastic squeeze tube with flip open cap. The opening on the tube is perfect for the consistency of the product. It does not ooze out more or too less from the tube. There is nothing fancy or unique about the packaging to talk much about it.

The body sorbet is exactly like SORBET. Sorbet is frozen desert made of flavored sweetened water. If you had to apply frozen desert (sorbet) on your body, it would feel very similar to the TBS body sorbet, meaning the consistency of the formula is just like actual sorbet. The formula is light and absorbs faster than your regular body butter/ lotion.
On the flip side it feels sticky which hardly stays on for 5 minutes and it is not as moisturizing as a body lotion. The fragrance on the other hand lingers longer than the moisture. It is perfect for combinational to oily skin types specially during summer.

Ups:

  • Fragrance
  • Light weight texture
  • Packaging
  • Non oily moisturizer which  absorbs instantly
  • Has a slightly cooling effect
  • Affordable
  • Support community fare trade.

Downs:

  • Light hydration
  • Not suitable for dry skin.

Overall rating: 3.8/5
