Revlon Colorburst Lip Gloss Review and Swatch

There are few hidden gems at drugstore and Revlon ColorBurst lip gloss is one of them. I never tried lip glosses from Revlon before and I really don’t know why. During GOFS sale on Nykaa, I grabbed five shades from the entire range. The only shade that I wish to add to my collection is #08 Peony, which is still out of stock .

Like always I prefer to check reviews on any product prior to my purchase, specially if I am going to buy five of them from the same line. I was surprised to see reviews dated 2012. Surprisingly, I never noticed these lip glosses while I went shopping at the beauty store.  All the while I just wanted new launches, which is so sad. I am sure most of you will own at least one of these. Do get them out and fall in love all over again.

My Take on the Product:

The Revlon Colorburst Lip Gloss comes is a slim long plastic tube with indented doe foot applicator which removes access product from the tube. I usually prefer to dab lipgloss on top of a lipstick for glossy effect and with this kind of applicator such application is difficult. The applicator works best when you were gloss on its own.

The formula is smooth, and while it’s a little thick and nearly non-sticky, it is comfortable to wear.  The gloss gives good coverage however, with little effort you can make it look opaque. Yes, you read it right. It has all the good qualities that we look for in any gloss, but the downside is the lasting power, which is less than 2 hours on me without any kind of food or beverage consumption. Having said that I find it worthy given that it isn’t a sticky gloss.
