My journey into makeup world started with lip gloss. It just took one lip gloss to trigger my gloss hoarding habbit followed by the products to create full blown makeup look. Although I am no longer into lip gloss, Lancome’s Juicy Shaker launch lit my gloss addiction all over again.
Where should I start from? Ohh ya!!! let’s talk about lip oil. Lip oils are the next level of lip balm/lip gloss. I am use to face oil, but lip oil is new to me. I found it so interesting that could not stop myself from trying it out.
Juicy Shakers are the first pigmented lip oil with two distinct phase. The first phase features transparent oil, which acts like lip balm and looks like gloss with a blend of five nourishing oils. It’s formulated to provide comfortable, non-sticky shine. Peach kernel oil, a well-known emollient, softens lips while sweet almond oil conditions, apricot oil hydrates, and cranberry oil provides rich antioxidant properties. Muscat rose oil, which is rich in essential fatty acids, helps to soothe your lips. This phase will not last more then 10 minutes leaving lips with no shine, but just pigment. The second phase provides pigment for a touch of color. Although the pigment might look bight and vibrant in the bottle. It does not translate as pigmented on to the lips, so pick the brightest shade if you are planning to get one.
Lancome Juicy Shaker bottle is like miniature cocktail shaker. The packaging is well thought of as you need to shake the bottle well to emulsify oil and pigment together. Shaker comes with cushion applicator which delivers right amount of product on to the lips.
Shades: 341- bohemian raspberry
313- boom meringue
Price: INR 2100/6.5ml
Overall I love the product mainly because it’s innovative and different from what I have used in the past. It delivers exactly what the product claims, which is comfort, non-sticky and sheer tint of color. However, I have not seen any major change as it claims to have blend of five nourishing oils.
