Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask Review & Swatch

Face mask is now my weekend skin care ritual and I take it very seriously. I have tried every face mask that promises to reduce pores and acne. Any and every face mask that is affordable and available, I have definitely tried it. Innisfree Volcanic Pore Clay Mask has been in my stash for over few months now.  And I guess it’s time to write down my thoughts on it.

Product Details:

1. What is the Super volcanic pore mask?
Jeju volcanic clay is made from minerals released by volcanic explosions in Jeju. It’s categorized as a preserved alkaline resource and is effective in removing sebum and other impurities.
(Contains 6,020 mg of Jeju volcanic clay)

2. Strong removal of sebum thanks to the Super volcanic capsules
As the capsule bursts, the mask exfoliates and removes dead skin cells. The AHA ingredient chemically exfoliates and smoothes out skin.

3. Clear, Contracted, and Refreshed Pores!
The strong absorption of sebum and cooling effect of the clay refreshes the skin and contracts pores.

My Take on the Product:

Innisfree volcanic clay mask comes in a small plastic tub and transparent plastic cap to keep it moist, which is not shown in the image below. As I no longer have the cap and only use the main lid to close the jar all the mask inside the tub has dried out 🙁

Volcanic clay has been known ever since ancient times to bring glow back to the skin. Some of the benefits of volcanic ash are:

Prevents ageing
Exfoliates skin
Natural cleanser
Reduces sebum
Helps reduce enlarge pores
Rich in minerals

All these benefits are clearly visible if you use clay mask regularly. However, with once a week application the only impact I have seen is with the reduced pores.

Clay mask is difficult to apply as it’s thick in consistency. I prefer to dilute it with a little bit of water, nothing fancy. Once the clay has thinner consistency it’s ready for application. Once I am done with the application all I do is sit and chill. It hardly takes 10 minutes for the mask to dry completely. Like any other mask you will feel your skin to be much more tight like you had face-lift. After I rinse my face, my skin feels tight, fresh, clean and pores appear smaller.

One more thing I would like to mention is that the mask is for all skin types. Yes, I have tried it when my skin was oily as well as at times when my skin started flaking because of using acne dying product and it has worked exactly the same in both the skin condition.

Overall Rating: 4/5

Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask cleans the skin, minimizes pore and removes sebum to prevent acne. Long term benefits like anti-aging is something that I have not witnessed yet. But, overall it’s an awesome face mask to use. The only thing because of which I marked it down was its availability. It is not available in all the stores and online stores like Amazon sells it at higher price.
