Happy Valentine’s Day!
Yipee! It’s time to get decked up because love is in the air… Wait a minute, are you expecting lovey dovey talks here? Sorry, but I don’t want to give in to the over hyped Valentine’s day. Love for loved ones should not be restricted to a day. Don’t hesitate to express your love no matter what day of the year it is. For me its just another reason to dress up.
Talking about the look; its inspired by corals and peaches. I find pink and red very common when it comes to Valentine’s day. So to stand out in the crowd, this is what I tried.
- Colorbar Perfect Match Primer
- MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation- NC 37
- MAC Moisture Cover Concealer – NC 42
- Revlon compact
- Sleek Blush by 3 lace – Chantilly
- Sleek Contour kit – Light
- Inglot Eye Makeup Base – 01
- 252 coastal scents eye palette – warm shades
- Lakme eyeconic curling mascara – Black
- L’oreal kajal magique – Black
- MAC Creamsheen Lipstick – Shanghai Spice
- MAC Frost Lipstick – Who’s That Chick (Riri Collection)
Start with the primer on your face, if you have oily skin like mine. Avoid using too much of primer, you don’t want to look over done. Use your favorite foundation, I prefer medium coverage to give even skin tone. Conceal any blemishes and dark circles. I prefer to keep few blemishes untouched. Its my way of looking perfect. Final step, use loose powder or compact to control shine.
I prepped my eye with Inglot eye makeup base, to make sure that the eye shadows last longer and are more vibrant. Use any brown shade which is darker than your skin tone on the crease, and blend it well. Apply peach eye shadow all over the eyelid. Use any darker shade, in this case I have used dark purple at the outer corner. Blend blend blend till you see proper transition in color rather than sharp edges.
To highlight, use the same highlighter that you used for cheek bones. I have used highlighter from Sleek Contour kit.
To create true coral with shimmer, I used two lipsticks from Mac.
