You walk into beauty store looking for one thing that you are out of and end with a bag full of makeup products that you had no intention of buying. Tell me if that sounds familiar?
Well a trip to beauty store just to buy kajal and mascara which I ran out of resulted me in perusing the Faces Cometics stand. Apart from Faces ultime pro mineral loose powder the second product that caught my eye was Metaliglow which I will review later once I am well known with its performance.
Product Descriptions: FACES Mineral Loose Powder is an innovative non-comedogenic formulation which offers protection from harmful UV radiation and imparts a silky, irresistible touch to facial skin. It does not clog pores and is hypoallergenic. It comes with a unique, spill-proof, easy-to-use applicator. Suitable for light to medium coverage on all skin types.

My Take on the Product:
Looking at the picture I am sure you can tell that there are a lot of things to talk about when it comes to packaging. It is definitely very uniquely packed product which looks attractive, but is so not practical. Can you imagine carrying this in your makeup bag? Definitely will require a lot of space as compared to your normal compact. By no means do I say it is bulky, size is the only feature that makes it inappropriate to travel with.
The silver top has a unique shape which makes it easy to hold and twist open the cap. The top is attached to sponge applicator which makes the product easy to use when on the go. The second half holds the loose powder. Unlike other loose powder packaging, this one has bigger opening (holes) which is perfect for the kind of product it holds.
The loose powder is mineral based which means it will best suit normal to oily skin as it adheres to the natural oil of the skin. Mineral based products might not suit certain skin, but this completely depends on the kind and the amount of ingredients used in the mineral based makeup products. If one mineral product does not suit my sensitive skin, I cannot generalize it. Bottom line, read label for ingredients and do your own research.
The product claims to provide UV radiation and imparts a silky, irresistible touch to facial skin. The amount of SPF protection it provides is not mentioned. It does provide silky smooth matte finish all thanks to the finely milled texture. The last thing that it claims is to provide is light to medium coverage to which I would say it provides light coverage. The best use of the product is when you are looking for something to set your medium to full coverage foundation.

Faces Canada Ultime Pro Mineral Loose Powder is definitely a good setting powder which in conjunction with natural hair brush gives natural finish on oily skin. The only downside of the product is its packaging. The packaging is defiantly unique and some of you might like it, but I prefer traditional loose powder container as it gives me bigger space to use brush. In the end I would say it is one of those products that I would not repurchase. Rather, I would want to try much raved Ben Nye banana powder and see what the buzz is all about.
