Liquid lipstick is flooded all over the market these days. Too Faced, Stila, Kat VonD, Ofra Cosmetics, Colourpop, Milani are few of them. 2015 was all about liquid lipsticks and the trend is now catching momentum in India as well. We only have Colorbar so far who has launched lip creams and liquid lipsticks. But, there are other brands that are easily available offering much more than the traditional lipstick. Diana Of London is one such brand. Liquid lipstick might be a huge trend now, but Diana Of London 2000 Kisses Wonderful Lipstick were available way back in 2012. Yes, they are that old.

There are so many brands and products at beauty shop that I never pay attention towards. My plan is to explore such brands as they are affordable. To my surprise there are few products that are hidden gem and no one raves about them.

An amazing lip color in a liquid form with matte iridescent & metallic effects assures long lasting make up results. The creamy soft velvety texture is light and comfortable. It doesn’t feel heavy or greasy, the non transfer lip color allows perception in every occasion.

For a perfect finish, outline your lips with Diana lip liner selecting a shade similar to the lipstick shade chosen and fill in gently with 2000 kisses wonderful lipstick.

  • Allow at least 4 – 5 minutes drying time after application for stability.
  • For a more gorgeous effect use Diana Extreme shine lip gloss over lipstick.

My Take on the Product:

Diana Of London 2000 Kisses Wonderful Lipstick comes in a transparent plastic tube with electric blue cap. There is nothing unique in terms of packaging. It looks just like a normal lip gloss tube. The applicator is a doe foot wand, which picks up more product than required. Not a huge fan of the packaging.

The liquid lipstick comes in a mouse like texture which glides on smoothly. Single application places a thin layer of product on to the lips. Even with a single layer the pigmentation is on point. However, I love to layer the lipstick twice to get the best color pay off. Unlike other liquid lipsticks I have heard of, DOL formula can be layered without any problem. Even with multiple layering the liquid lipstick feels light weight on the lips and it does not crumble by the end of the day.

The mouse texture takes about 2 to 3 minutes to dry into a completely matte effect after which it won’t budge. Longivity of the product can go beyond 6 hours. The main reason for being long wear is because it clings on the fine lines on the lips. The longevity can be threatened by oily food that can make the lipstick wear off from the inner part of the lips. Reapplication after every meal does not require fresh start.

  • Very pigmented.
  • Lasts longer than the day.
  • Never bleeds or smudges.
  • Matte finish.
  • Dries off quickly.
  • Color Range (available in 40 shades).

  • Not suitable for chapped or dry lips.
  • Availablity.

Overall Rating: 5/5

I am in love with the Diana of London 2000 Kisses Wonderful Lipstick. The formula is light weight, pigmented, long wear and comfortable. DOL offers everything that a matte lipstick lover would ever want. All the shade I found in the beauty store are perfect for Indian skin tone. Even with few negatives to the product, I would highly recommend these.

PS: Diana of London is available online Flipkart and Amazon. However, I would recommend purchasing them from beauty store across Mumbai as they are available on at least 10 to 15% off.
