Coty Airspun Loose Face Powder, Translucent Extra Coverage Review

Coty Airspun Loose Face Powder has been raved about by Tati from Glam Life Guru on YouTube for years. When a Youtuber who is exposed to high end brands rave about any drugstore product it says a lot. I had made a huge list of drugstore products I wanted to try myself. Coty Airspun Loose Face Powder was one of them. I ordered this from Drugstore.com as my friend from US has no knowledge in this domain. The product is available on Amazon as well. However, I would not recommend any US drugstore brands to be purchased from Amazon.in. Mainly because you would have to pay 5 times more than the actual cost. Ok, enough of blabbering. Here is what you are looking for.

Product Description:
Exclusive Microspun formula.  Provides a longwearing, flawless finish to set makeup or may be used instead of foundation.

The loose face powder comes in a huge plastic jar with a soft puff. Like any other loose powder, Coty Airspun is available in various shades. I could not decide which shade would be perfect for me, so I picked the translucent one. To my surprise translucent was not white, rather looked peach. This might be disappointing to some, but I was pleased to see peachy powder. Unlike MAC pro-long wear compact, coverage of loose powder is barely there. I like to use it with the foundation to set my base and not substitute it for the foundation as the product recommends.

The loose face powder features an exclusive Microspun formula where loose powder particles are spun and swirled until they reach a cloudlike softness. No matter where and which technique you use, it gives a smooth and soft finish. I prefer to use this power to bake under eye area. This helps reduce creasing and makes my makeup last longer. If you have crease or wrinkles, don’t expect the powder to hide it. It will just minimize and not fade them away.

Ingredients:
Talc, Zinc Oxide, Zinc Stearate, Magnesium Carbonate, Fragrance, Mineral Oil (Paraffinum Liquidum), Lanolin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Imidazolidinyl Urea, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, May Contain (+/-):, Iron Oxides, D&C Red 30, D&C Yellow 5 Aluminum Lake (CI 19140)

Two ingredients sensitive skin should avoid is talc and fragrance. If you are looking for a loose powder without talc, I would highly recommend Physicians Formula. Second ingredient i.e fragrance does not bother me as it fades away in few minutes after application.

Overall Rating: 4.8/5

Highly Recommended!!! I have not tried a lot of loose powders. However, so far this the best one I own in comparison to all the drugstore alternatives I have.
